The Clubhouse Committee oversees upkeep and use of the clubhouse. Committee members are the chairman, reservations person, board liaison, and homeowner(s) in charge of cleaning and maintenance of the facility. The committee enforces the published rules for clubhouse usage. Keyholders receive a deposit of $150 from homeowners who use the clubhouse. The keyholder who has received the deposit is responsible for checking the facility after use to be sure it is properly cleaned up and undamaged before returning the deposit to the homeowner. Any or all of the deposit may be retained for cleaning and repair. The user is responsible for paying for any additional costs for cleaning or repair.
The Knolls Clubhouse, one of the finest facilities of its kind in the area, belongs to the homeowners. Homeowners may reserve the Clubhouse for private parties and functions (except for-profit activities). The homeowner who signs the reservation must be present at the event, and is responsible for complying with all Clubhouse Rules including thorough cleanup and trash removal.
New Process for Clubhouse Use
Your Clubhouse Committee has developed a streamlined “Check-In/Check-Out Sheet” for Clubhouse users, designed to improve consistency and eliminate misunderstandings about our cleaning and usage expectations. The new process is effective April 1, 2007.
If you are a Clubhouse user, please call any Keyholder or Committee member for a copy of our new “Check-In/Check-Out Sheet” before you plan your next event.
We encourage all users to become familiar with these new requirements prior to scheduling your next reservation. You will need to allow time to complete the Checklists before and after your event. The Homeowner deposit for the Clubhouse is $150, now presented in two checks, for $75 each, made payable to the Knolls HOA. There will be a $75 late fee assessed if any key is not returned to the original keyholder within 2 hours for a daytime event, or by 9 a.m. the next day for an evening event.
Keyholders will now present our new “Check-In/Check-Out” form when keys are picked up. You’ll need to sign-off on a list of areas for check-in prior to your event, and well as signing off on the list of cleanup requirements after your event. When the key is returned, the keyholder will then do a walkthrough using your completed form, note any discrepancies, and handle your deposit accordingly. The specific requirements of our Check-In/Check-Out process will make it clearer and easier for everyone to comply with our Clubhouse maintenance needs. Thank you for working with us to keep our community Clubhouse properly maintained for the enjoyment of all.
As always, please contact any Clubhouse Committee member with your suggestions or comments. And thanks to everyone for your cooperation.
